About Us – Novapew Craftsmanship & Artistic Vision

Homes feel warmer when the things inside are made with real care. At Novapew, we shape each piece with simple intentions: honest lines, comfortable proportions, and finishes that let the wood speak for itself. Guided by the soft light of the coast and everyday living, our makers turn good materials into calm, lasting forms that settle naturally into a room.

Nature & Sustainability

What we use matters. We work with responsibly sourced, kiln-dried hardwoods and select softwoods from FSC-certified partners in the United States. We lean toward traceable supply, thoughtful yields, and low-VOC, wood-safe finishes. The idea is straightforward: create furniture that looks good, feels good to live with, and treats the environment with care.

Functional Beauty in Everyday Living

We like design that quietly earns its place. Each piece is made to look inviting and do its job well—holding books, framing keepsakes, softening edges, and making space for people to gather. Surfaces are easy to care for, joinery is built for everyday use, and finishes protect while highlighting the grain. The goal is furniture that keeps pleasing the eye—and the hand—over time.

Who We Are

Founded in 2024, Novapew is a small studio of designers and craftspeople who enjoy working with natural materials. From our workshop and showroom at 2407 Curtis Ave, Redondo Beach, CA 90278, we build and ship directly to our customers. Working this way helps us keep pricing sensible, quality consistent, and communication personal. Our team collaborates across design, fabrication, finishing, and client care to make pieces that feel considered at every step. We create for people who appreciate rustic warmth, thoughtful choices, and long-term comfort.

Our Products

At the heart of our collection is a considered range built for both expression and everyday living. From seating and storage to lighting, timepieces, bedroom pieces, and sofas, Novapew offers ready-to-ship designs alongside made-to-order works for distinctive spaces. We source kiln-dried lumber from trusted U.S. partners such as Weyerhaeuser, Baillie Lumber Co., Rex Lumber, Baird Brothers Fine Hardwoods, and Bell Forest Products, chosen for consistent quality and responsible forestry. Each piece is available in select sizes and finishes, with options for custom dimensions, stains, carvings, or upholstery. Panels and frames are engineered for strength; shelves are tested to everyday loads; and all wood receives anti-pest treatment with protective oil or lacquer finishes. With simple care—soft-cloth dusting, prompt spill cleanup, and limited prolonged sun or moisture exposure—Novapew furniture stays sturdy, stable, and gracefully aged for years.

Our Process – From Raw Wood to Refined Art

Everything starts with the wood. We look for balanced moisture, character in the grain, and solid structure—choosing boards from suppliers like Weyerhaeuser, Baillie Lumber Co., Rex Lumber, Baird Brothers Fine Hardwoods, and Bell Forest Products to set a good foundation for long-lasting furniture.

Shaping comes next. CNC cutting and careful milling give us precise parts and clean joinery. Then the hand work takes over: edges are eased, profiles are refined, and small details are added so each piece feels welcoming to the touch.

Surfaces are brought to life with patient sanding through progressive grits, followed by layers of natural oils or durable varnishes. These finishes bring out color and pattern while offering everyday protection from humidity and wear.

Before anything heads out the door, we check joints, hardware, finish clarity, and overall balance. Custom projects begin with a simple conversation, move into sketches or drawings, and evolve through feedback. We keep you in the loop so the final piece reflects both your ideas and our craft.

Each item is packed with care for transit and easy setup. If something arrives not as expected, reach out—our team will work with you on a repair, replacement, or refund that feels fair.
